MIT’s Fine Arts insurance coverage protects the Institute for damage to any of our artwork or irreplaceable items, including but not limited to paintings, sculptures, tapestries, and rare books. Coverage applies to MIT-owned and loaned works of art and extends to any location worldwide as well as artwork in transit.  

If your department must provide a Certificate of Insurance for a fine arts item, please contact Sarah Brown. Please include:

• Event or exhibition name
• Title of artwork
• Dates of exhibition or loan
• Value of artwork
• Lender or gallery name
