Insurance Required of MIT

Our office has updated our workflow regarding issuing certificates of insurance (COI) to 3rd party entities that request them.

MIT’s GL, Auto and Workers Comp insurance certificates are now issued as memorandums of insurance that confirm coverage and additional insured status when required by contract.

If the vendor requiring the certificates pushes back please contact Sarah Brown.

Evidence of General Liability/Umbrella Liability coverage

Evidence of Auto Liability, Workers Compensation coverage

Evidence of Property Insurance

MIT is often asked by outside parties to confirm various types and levels of insurance in connection with business agreements.  (An example of this is when an MIT organization is hosting an off-site event and the outside hosting venue/outside party requests proof of Insurance.)

MIT can meet its’ contractual obligation and evidence proof of insurance by the issuance of a Certificate of Insurance.
